[He's quiet for awhile, running his fingers through his hair. At first he considers saying no. Maybe he'd do better to just stay in. Forget about being social.
[He nodded. It wasn't much to offer him, but there wasn't anything he could really do to fix it. But he was quick to jump on it when Ryouichi accepted the offer.]

[He paused for a second. He did remember that Sei had been with them. He had pretty much planned on playing babysitter for them when they were out on dates. Sei was definitely still here, so...]
[He listened, and nodded. He understood well that Sei didn't seem to say "no" to anything, and it could be tricky to know what the boy enjoyed and didn't.]
I'll do the best I can. Sei works with me now, so I can talk to him while we're at work, too.
[He said it with all seriousness. He was already concerned with Sei, but with him down one pseudo-parent... Maraich would do everything he could to help.]

[He trusts Maraich to teach Sei about consent so hopefully Sei will learn to say no one day. Or learn that it's not consent even if he ends up liking it. Like what happened with the guy who hurt him...
He doesn't bring that up though. He just looks over at his stuff on the counter then back at the mirror.]

[He wasn't sure exactly what they would do or talk about, but he just thought it was important to be with him.]
And... [What did someone say in this situation? It was so hard to come up with reassuring words or good advice. He furrowed his brows, concentrating on the mirror.] I care about you a lot, okay?
[He actually stops and stares at his reflection. Believe it or not, he's actually not used to hearing words like that from other people and it shows all over his face. No mask, no cool calm, nothing. Just raw surprise before closes his eyes because he remembers this is still video.]

[It means the world to him to hear those words, Maraich. He just doesn't know how to tell you. Showing real emotion is actually really hard for him.]
